Weekend Discussion

The weekend is here and there's a lot of new software on store shelves. With Enslaved and Castlevania out now and Medal of Honor, Call of Duty: Black Ops and a ton more coming soon, it's getting hard to think of reasons to leave the comfort of our own homes. So, what's keeping the staff indoors this weekend?

  • Alice O'Connor: I'm going to BoardGameCamp on Saturday so I imagine I'll end up playing some board games I have never heard of. I'm also getting stuck in Planescape: Torment again--it's still lovely.
  • Brian Leahy: I'll be going back to my power trio of Halo: Reach, StarCraft II, and Civilization V, most likely. I might try to fit in some Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, though.
  • Garnett Lee: This weekend I'd really like to get to these copies of F1 and FIFA 11 that have been taunting me from my coffee table. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will also probably get some time as well. And I'm properly watching Battlestar Galactica now that it's on Netflix streaming in HD.
  • Jeff Mattas: I'll be playing a bunch of great indie games at IndieCade 2010 this weekend. I'm hoping to find time to squeak in a bit of Comic Jumper, too
  • Xav de Matos: If I told you what I'm playing this weekend, I'd have to kill you.

Xav de Matos was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Time to finish Fable 2 before Fable 3 comes out.

I liked everything about Fable 2 except for the very end, but it's okay. It's difficult finding a way to end a childhood-to-adult title.

Yeah, I've watched my GF play through it, which is why I'm only getting around to finishing it myself now. Looking forward to true co-op in 3.

That way you can get the three or four in-jokes that only people who have obsessively played through the first game eighteen or nineteen times will ever get.

Tried to play this a while back but the girlfriend took over and just started having tons of babies with everyone in the game. Is the DLC worth it?
