NBA Jam for PS3 and 360 Will Expand Following NBA Elite 11 Delay

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the new NBA Jam were originally intended to be a small sampling of the full game, which was to be included with NBA Elite 11 as a voucher for the download. The real game was a Wii exclusive title.

Now that NBA Elite 11 has been delayed indefinitely, EA will be releasing standalone versions of NBA Jam to the PS3 and 360, but will take some time to add "as much on there as possible," as explained by NBA Jam creative director Trey Smith (via Kotaku).

The Wii version includes around 20 hours of singleplayer content in the game's "Remix Tour", but lacks online play. The originally planned PS3 and 360 versions did not include the Tour, but featured quick play options and online multiplayer. The Wii SKU will be released tomorrow and the PS3/360 version should be out by the holidays.

It is unclear if the title will remain downloadable on the PS3 and 360, but the additional content suggests a retail release.
