Uncharted 2 'Game of the Year' Edition Unearthed

Next month will bring the release of a DLC-packed, $50 'Game of the Year' edition for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, its publisher Sony has revealed on the PlayStation.Blog.

The GotY edition of Naughty Dog's PlayStation 3 exclusive will be released on October 12, packing a "super voucher" to download a grab bag of goodies related to the action-archaeology game--valued at "over $35."

The digital bonuses include useful things like multiplayer map and skin packs, curios like motion comics and gubbins you might perhaps never buy, such as scores of PSN avatars. The full list of what the GotY edition offers follows below.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Multiplayer Pack
Uncharted 2 Siege Expansion Pack
Currency Multiplier which grants Double XP up to level 10 in Multiplayer
Golden Guns option for the AK-47 and the 92FS 9mm pistol for use in Multiplayer
Early access to "Revenge" Booster - you still have to purchase it with in-game cash!
Uncharted: Eye of Indra - Motion Comic Bundle (which includes Episodes 1-4)
Uncharted: Eye of Indra - Rika Raja and Daniel Pinkerton Character Skins
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Avatar Pack 1
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Avatar Pack 2

Well deserved game! This game is something every developer should look over and study because it was pretty damn awesome.... I'll get it for the extra content... Go buy it if you have not played it!

  Yeah, this is one of my all time favorite single player games. What it lacks in depth, it makes up for in polish and awesomeness.

  I loved the game but it's basically Gears of War combat with some Tomb Raider elements mixed in.
  
  Which made in an great game but it wasn't anything that developers need to stumble over themselves copy.

    Uncharted is nothing like Gears of War... you do realize that games we're in 3rd person way before GoW? ... Giants: Citizen Kabuto... and may more before that. I swear when people say this about any 3rd person shooter it makes me so mad.

      The shooting plays much like Gears. I don't remember running from cover to cover in Giants. Maybe we played a different game.
