A new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been released and it outlines the game's storyline, characters, and multitude of gameplay elements. Also, it looks really good.

Developed by MercurySteam in association with Kojima Productions, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is set to be a perfect entry point for those who have yet to experience the franchise that is nearly 25 years old.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 5 in North America and October 7 in Europe.

So what is this game, another God of War clone but set in the Castlevania universe? I was hoping for more of an open world RPG. Ever since Castlevania 2, castlevania just hasn't been the same for me.

  I doubt anything will satisfy you If you haven't liked a Castlevania game since Simon's Quest.

    You do have a point there haha. This game looks really cool thus far, so maybe it will surprise me. I'll just stay on the positive side for now.

      Not even Symphony of the Night? It had a lot of exploration, but a very different set up from 2. Those are my two favorites though.
