Planescape: Torment Arrives on GOG
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 28, 2010 7:28am PDTAny ill will Good Old Games might have earned by faking its own closure to drum up publicity for a relaunch is now certain to be washed away, as the virtual vintage video game vendor today added the hallowed RPG Planescape: Torment to its catalogue.
It's available now for $9.99 and, in true GOG form, comes DRM-free, packing extras including the soundtrack, artwork and a novelisation based upon the game's script.
Developed by Fallout creator Black Isle Studios, Torment has often been praised for its story, writing and numerous ways to play but sadly slipped through the cracks and has been unavailable for many years. It's a fantastic game and one you should definitely try.
To make it even better, download the Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack v4.11 for modders' fixes to scores of bugs. You'll also want The Bigg's Widescreen Mod to add support for modern resolutions and GhostDog's UI mod to make the UI scale accordingly.
