A new The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings trailer has arrived to illustrate the more-open nature of CD Projekt RED's fantasy RPG sequel, showing several different ways hero Geralt might escape from a prison. If your workplace welcomes virtual violence but quakes in fear at the sight of digital flesh, be warned that female breasts are shown.

It's all framed nicely by a scene of Geralt's pals Triss Merigold and Zoltan Chivay retelling the tale, arguing over whether Geralt snuck out quietly or hacked his way free.

The Witcher 2 is scheduled for a PC release in the first quarter of 2011. While RED says "TW2 will surely be out on console at some point," its focus is on the PC for now.

About to embark on the first game! The sequel has a thief vibe that I am liking.

Got that vibe too, but the best part is you don't have to play it like that. There was a developer walkthrough a few weeks ago where they took completely different paths... sneaking versus killing everyone.

First game is great, but had a few minor annoyances (combat seems terrible at first, but you get used to it) but this sequel really seems amazing. Very anxious to give CD Projekt my money again!

here's the walkthrough if you haven't seen it. multipart and it's pretty lengthy. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-10-the-witcher/703360

After watching that walkthrough, I have to say that the guys talking are really arrogant and cocky. I can't tell if they're being sarcastic or not, but either way, it's really obnoxious.

yes, they are. i think it's part hyping their game and part not speaking in their native tongue. either way, if their game is as great as it looks, they can be as arrogant and cocky as they like!

Fuckin'-A. If you can walk the walk, then you can talk the talk. These guys can do both.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It's apparent that English is not their native language, so it could be partially that. But they are there to hype and promote the game, and after the success of their first I think they can talk however they want! Especially in a market where all the developers are saying PC gaming is dead or we can't/won't develop on the PC because of the pirates.

Also...I really need to play this game! I keep putting it off. :( I even bought it twice. Bought it once on disc, played it a bit but got distracted by something else that was new and shiny. Then I was too lazy and didn't want to install from the discs :) and bought it during the last Steam sale.
