[Update 12:07PM - BL] The PlayStation Blog has announced a January 18, 2011 release date for the US, Canada, and Latin America.

[Original Story] Once due on November 16, LittleBigPlanet 2's launch is now delayed until January 2011 to further improve the game, developer Media Molecule has announced.

"We are a tight-knit team and we take enormous pride in our work, so to raise the bar we've set with the original LittleBigPlanet, a game that has been so embraced by all, we've agreed to allow ourselves a bit more time to deliver the experience that our great fans and community deserve," Media Molecule explains.

With the PlayStation 3-exclusive platformer now due in January 2011, you have a few extra months to pre-order and nab bonus content or save for the $80 Collector's Edition.

Yep...so what is the tally to now? Like 10-12 major titles coming in Winter/Spring season?

Are there any big hitters for the holiday season? I haven't been keeping track of dates.

Is Cataclysm part of a holiday release that everyone is trying to avoid?

Rockband 3 and Fallout: New Vegas...I guess? Matters on your opinion of Heavy Hitter. I'm super-excited for those two, but I dunno if you'd call them major-leaguers
