Then two appeared for some gay reason.
The first time I doubleposted, I did so on purpose.

Descent started the multiplayer gaming scene MAN
Remember playing it on a LAN?
I played that game whenever I CAN.
Thanks!

Descent 1-3 were great games but were too involved for your average FPS player who couldn't handle the added degrees of free movement. It was always fun watching a Quaker facing a wall getting shot to death and dumbly staring at the screen wondering why he couldn't spin around in .0005 seconds and "frag" the guy behind him. Fucking losers.
Yes, Quake 1-3 are better games at being pure FPS killing fast-action, but D3 was meant to be a cross between a flying sim and an FPS, and in that it was nearly PERFECT.
Fuck all ya playa-hating loser trekkie geeks. Suck a fat one.
I'd play D3 before I ever play another game of that shitty UT or even A SINGLE GAME of GayKatana. Now THAT'S some shitty product by the Romero-In-Denial-That-His-3yearOverdue-Baby-Sucks.

the freespace series though, they da sheeit. that doods article is pretty shitty if you ask me. blaming d3s failure on interplay and poor advertising is bs. the game didnt sell simply because there were better games to play. freespace had hardly any advertising at all. all it had was a demo that was raved about by most reviewers. thats free advertising, word of mouth advertising. the game was just so good that people were reviewing a fuckin demo. descent 3 had a demo that no reviewer really gave two shits about to even acknowledge its existence.
FWIW, I quite enjoyed Descent3. Not as much as the first two, and I can't quite put my finger on why, but it was still a good game. If it wasn't your cup of tea you don't have to flame it to pieces, either. Life aint black and white, ya know.
Anyone know a decent plumber?
They should have stopped after the first one.
Scream
Scream 2
Descent 3
Isn't that how the series went?
Gracias!
and descent 2
