I purchased a Dreamcast, back in 2001 for this game shortly after my Diablo 2 LOD addiction calmed down. PSO was fun, but lacking. The sky was the limit but it's like Sega decided to stop at the tree-tops. The closest thing I can compare it to is an MMO that launched with solid mechanics but simple needed another year in the oven and it would have been an absolute hit.

Same here. Reason for purchase of the mighty Dreamcast was to play PSO. Free Net-zero dial-up internet ftw!
