Import Guitar Hero: Metallica into New Guitar Hero; Free for One Week Following Launch

When Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock releases on September 28, owners of Guitar Hero: Metallica will be able to import 39 of the game's 49 songs. If the import is done within one week, it will be free on the PS3 or Xbox 360. Wii owners will have to pay.

After the promotional offer, the import will run you $6 across all three platforms, which includes the Wii version. The import tool will be sold as DLC in the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Wii Shop Channel.

To claim your import code, head over to this website after Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is released.

The 39 songs up for import feature 27 from Metallica and 12 from other bands. They are.

      You probably need a non-used copy of GH:M; if its like previous imports, a code on the manual is basically what lets you access the import.

      And this is likely a complete download of the track as opposed "importing" them off disc. There's likely a few new features they needed to account for.

        That's what I figured... For a second I thought they might be doing another freebie thing like last year with GH: Van Halen. I should know better than to believe Activision would do something so cool...
