Trials HD Passes 1 Million Sales

Indie developer RedLynx today revealed that Trials HD has sold more than one million units--not including sales of the 'Big Pack' downloadable content. The fiendish physics-based motorcycle puzzle-platformer launched on Xbox Live Arcade on August 12, 2009, priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).

"Only a handful of downloadable console games have reached this plateau," said RedLynx CEO Tero Virtala. "For a company of about thirty-five people, it's a significant achievement, and it validates our strategy of focusing on online and downloadable games that have the potential to evolve into long-term, successful game franchises."

The next entry in the Trials HD saga will be the release of its second DLC pack, 'Big Thrills,' later this year. RedLynx also recently announced a "side-scrolling, platfom racing game" by the name of MotoHeroz, which will be out on WiiWare this year or next.
