Red Faction: Armageddon Pushed to May 2011; Saint's Row 3 Arriving Next Fall
Sorry revolutionists, you're going to have to wait a little longer until you can escape underground and decimate its thriving civilization.
In an investor release, THQ revealed Red Faction: Armageddon has been pushed to May 2011. Originally the shooter was scheduled to arrive in March 2011. No specifics for the delay were mentioned; however, we suspect it has something to do with THQ core game VP Danny Bilson's "ship when things are ready" policy.
The push means that THQ is missing a big piece from its current fiscal year's release calendar, which ends on March 31, 2011. To compensate for this shift, THQ has lowered its revenue expectations.
Expectations were downgraded from between $845 million to $865 million to between $800 million to $825 million for the fiscal year. THQ also expects it will post a loss for the year ending 2010 based on previous predictions.
The same release posted rough dates for two other THQ releases. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is now expected in the summer of 2011, while Saint's Row 3 will see life in the fall of the same year.
No word on whether the Red Faction delay will affect the release of the game's upcoming downloadable title or the made-for-television SyFy movie based on the franchise.
