Assassin's Creed Brotherhood PS3-Exclusive Beta Delayed

Would-be assassins sharpening their knives in anticipation for today's Assassin's Creed Brotherhood beta are in for some disappointment.

Ubisoft has told Joystiq that the planned PS3-exclusive beta has been delayed in North America.

European gamers are expected to unsheathe their blades on October 4 when the beta is slated to go live. Could North American assassins be joining the battle at the same time? Ubisoft isn't specifying a new date for the North American beta but promises more information will be revealed "later this week."

I've been to Gamestop twice now and asked about this, and the only thing they can ever tell me is October 4th, so I'm just going to assume that's when it starts. I did get my code for registering for the beta on Ubi's site, though.
