Alleged Batman: Arkham City Screenshots Appear Online, Quickly Pulled

28
The detectives at NeoGAF discovered a number of screenshots allegedly from Batman: Arkham City, the caped crusader's upcoming adventure in a prisoner overrun section of Gotham City.

The twenty screens first appeared on an anonymous Flickr account, which has since been pulled and replaced with an image of Joker from the first title.

Although the screens look outstanding—and you're invited to scroll through all twenty shots in our gallery—we're still waiting on verification from publisher Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady.

It should be noted that if the images prove to be real, Rocksteady has employed various wizards to create yet another amazing-looking installment in the Batman franchise. An outstanding superhero game? We're still getting used to the thought of that.

    These look amazing. Simply beautiful.

The only caveat to this is ( I am assuming and we know that does) these are the PC screen shots. I would be very interested to see how the PS3/XBOX screens hold up against these if this is really the case.

The console versions of the first game looked great. Not as purdy as the PC version, obviously, but they looked fine.

What video card did you use?

For myself I use the GTX 295 on Win7 64-bit. It looks beautiful as does this game, but to be honest I preferred the console version of the game (I know, I know heresy. Burn me at the stake)

I only played the demo on PC, and I ran that on a GTS 250 1GB card. I bought the full game on PS3 because I wanted the exclusive Joker content.
