EA Sports has announced that Madden NFL 11's new 'GameFlow' feature has been used by 85% of folks playing the game. EA also projects (internally) that the latest game in the Madden franchise has seen a 5% sales growth year-over-year across all platforms for the month of August.

'GameFlow,' which EA calls "a complete game-changer," shortens overall game length and streamlines the play-calling process in an effort to make the game more friendly to newcomers.

"Madden NFL 11 is the number one selling game in August, and the game has created enormous enthusiasm in the online community," said former Xbox frontman and president of EA Sports, Peter Moore. "Each day on consoles, fans are playing as many games online as the equivalent of 750 full NFL seasons. Now on Facebook, Madden NFL Superstars will bring a whole new dimension and audience to the Madden NFL experience."

The aforementioned 'Madden NFL Superstars' team-management application launched on Facebook today. Created in collaboration with social-gaming giant Playfish, 'Madden NFL Superstars' lets players "create their ultimate fantasy squad by collecting or trading NFL players and competing in matchups against their Facebook friends." The application includes Season, NFL Pro League, and Scrimmage modes, and lets players build their team rosters by choosing from over 1,500 players from all thirty-two of the 2010 NFL team lineups.
