EA has just made a pair of announcements regarding the fate of the Bad Company.

Not only is DICE's most recent shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2 getting the "Ultimate Edition" treatment, the retail re-release is available right now.

Carrying a MSRP of $59.99, the PS3 and Xbox 360 release features the original "first day" unlocks bundles with the game's "Limited Edition" release, the (still console-exclusive) 4-player co-op "Onslaught" mode, and DICE's lone downloadable project Battlefield 1943. That's a lot of explosions in one package.
