Dead Rising 2: Case Zero Delayed in Japan, Still Coming to North America and Europe Tomorrow

Dead Rising 2's upcoming XBLA-exclusive prologue, Case Zero, has been pushed from its original release date in Japan. Andriasang reports that the delay is due to undisclosed "violent" content sneaking its way into the game's free trial, which is funny considering the nature of the product as a whole.

The questionable content will still available in the full version of Dead Rising 2: Case Zero when it eventually launches. According to Famitsu, the delay for the downloadable title will not affect the release date for the full retail Dead Rising sequel in the region.

Capcom reassured fans on this side of the Pacific that the Dead Rising 2: Case Zero delay was only isolated to Japanese gamers. The downloadable title will launch on the Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow in North America and Europe for 400 Microsoft Points ($5). Dead Rising 2 will launch on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 28, 2010.

      Nah, Case Zero is its own thing. Gameplay elements and main character aside, none of the stuff in the screenshots is in Dead Rising 2.

    oh! now i get it. i didn't realize that's how it was getting released. i thought it was just the $5 demo

      As I understand it this is a game that ties the two together, and the content of this one won't be in the full game?

        yeah, thats what I understand it to be as all.
        
        I also heard today that while you're limited as to how far you can advance your level in Case Zero, you can import him(and the money you've earned) into Dead Rising 2.
