Civilization 5 Demo Hitting on Release Day, Not Prior to Launch
by Brian Leahy, Aug 27, 2010 1:20pm PDTThough Firaxis and 2K had previously stated that a demo for Civilization V would be released prior to the game's September 21 launch date, it will now be made available on the same day.
"At the time of that announcement, we expected to be able to get the demo out before the 21st, but unfortunately we weren't able to finalize it in the timeframe we had initially planned, and for that we're very sorry," writes 2K community manager "2K Greg".
While you wait for the game and demo, you are free to check out the system requirements or read Garnett's hands-on preview. Also, be sure to listen to this week's Weekend Confirmed to hear my opinion after finally getting to play the game.

new community manager is certainly starting out on the wrong foot.
Anyone have any good places to read guides on CIV IV. I just downloaded a week ago for 9.00. I always win by building a wonder.
