Gamescom a Success, Sony Leads Award Winners

Gamescom 2010 wrapped up in Cologne, Germany over the weekend. By all accounts it goes into the books as a successful sophomore outing for the European counterpart to E3. Organizers report that 254,000 attendees took in sights from 505 exhibitors spread across 33 countries. Hit our Gamescom 2010 news feed to catch up on everything from the show.

No one probably came away from the week more pleased than Sony. The company took home three "Best of Gamescom 2010 awards" as decided by an independent panel comprised of representatives from European publishers and media. Gran Turismo 5 took home the award for both best of show and best console game. Sony's upcoming Move motion control system won the best accessory category. The full list follows after the jump.

        More interesting games on display and more interesting announcements than at E3.
