Saw 2: Flesh & Blood Bloodying Store Shelves October 19

Konami wants you to play a game, specifically one they plan to release this October.

The publisher revealed its upcoming movie-based sequel, Saw 2: Flesh & Blood will hit store shelves on October 19 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The video game release falls alongside the seventh Saw film, which will be presented in 3D. (Two things the world needs more of.)

Although the original Saw video game failed to terrorize sales charts upon release, it was surprisingly good.

In the Zombie Studios developed thriller, players are forced to make their way through a horrific world constructed by the insane Jigsaw killer, solving puzzles and contending with his intricate booby-traps along the way.

Anyone play the first one? If so is it anything like Manhunt?

Pop into the main chatty and ask dognose. He loves the game. I've been meaning to play it but haven't yet.

I have played it and it is pretty good. When you have to escape from traps my heart sometimes feels like it is going to explode.

I bought it on Steam when it was on sale and I thought it was very well done.

It's only like Manhunt in atmosphere, though. Manhunt you have very cool ways to take out enemies. In Saw, it's mostly puzzle solving to get people out of traps with some combat thrown in from time-to-time.

No, it's more like a linear Silent Hill with timed puzzles and interesting gore.

Strangely enough, I did complete Manhunt a few months back. That was an interesting game. Was part 2 any good?

There were some occasional pathing issues, and the enemy A.I. ranged from retarded to godlike, but overall I think its a decent game with a fairly good story that is presented well.

I didn't play Manhunt but if you liked the first Saw movie it captures that atmosphere very well.

What version did you play? I prefer gaming on my PC and I was wondering if it was done properly for the PC, mainly controls/bug issues

I played the PC version. Some of the puzzle sections seem like they would work way better with the controller. The only time the mouse would come in handy is if you get your hands on a gun (rarely).

Kind of off topic but if you like games with this atmosphere you should try the Condemned series. I really enjoyed those games. I played to first one for PC and the second for PS3.

Same here! The awesome thing about part 2 was the hobo arena later in the game.

Haha, I loved the bear chase seen, it is really intense if you don't know about it which I didn't.

Yeah, that was the best part, I think. I had no idea it was coming, and it was definitely the most tense scene of any game I have played.

PC version, and the controls are my only complaint. If you are used to WASD for movement you will be OK, beyond that the combat is a bit frustrating but those events are rare.

I use the arrow keys for movement, can you rebind them?
