Proper R.U.S.E. PC Demo Coming August 25
by Xav de Matos, Aug 23, 2010 8:00am PDTAlthough Ubisoft's upcoming strategy title R.U.S.E. has seen two separate open beta tests over the last few months, it appears as though the game will receive a complete PC demo later this week.
According to online ads for the upcoming title (via BigDownload), a demo for the Eugen Systems-developed title will launch on August 25. There is no indication what the demo will include, other than a lot of potential bluffing. Or maybe we're lying.
After seeing multiple delays, R.U.S.E. is set to launch on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 7 in North America and on September 10 in Europe. Rather than use Ubisoft's popular "Always On" DRM (sense the sarcasm), R.U.S.E. will utilize Valve's Steamworks platform on the PC.

The game was delayed because they improved the game from the first beta release "massive feedback"
Eugen systems is a respectable independent developer. Support them.

Is there a lot of hype for this game (I really haven't been following it)? I fear that if it's not going to be a very popular title and has small sales, that Ubi will see this as a failure and resume with their own DRM.
I want to encourage people to move away from ubidrm shit.
