DJ Hero 2 Spins to Retail on October 19 in North America, October 22 in Europe

It appears that Activision has dated its upcoming, turntable-powered sequel. According to Joystiq, an Activision rep at Gamescom 2010 revealed DJ Hero 2 would launch for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii on October 19 in North America and on October 22 in Europe.

In January, Activision boss Bobby Kotick pointed to DJ Hero as a series his company wanted to "stick with" until they "got it right." The first DJ Hero -- released in October 2009 -- garnered generally favorable reviews amongst critics; however, the title failed to sell more than one million units by the end of the year.

Activision is also prepping a new Guitar Hero installment, subtitled Warriors of Rock, set to launch in September.
