          Like a number of people above said, it was good if you look past the bugs and the glaringly incomplete final act. I liked it more than the KOTOR 1, but I am certainly in the minority by thinking that KOTOR 1 was really overrated.
          
          The characters and some of the systems used to interact with them were much improved over the original, which played Star Wars too straight. KOTOR 2 injected some maturity into the storyline and added characters that weren't paper thin, so it felt less like I was reading a story from the young-adult section of the bookstore.
          
          The people at Obsidian have a good track record for this sort of thing, so I'm sure that at the very least the writing in New Vegas will be better than that of Fallout 3 (which could be sort of bland--we all know Bethesda's strength is in letting its worlds do the storytelling).
