Fable 3 Gets Something That's Not 'Pub Games' in October
by Jeff Mattas, Aug 19, 2010 4:00pm PDTLionhead's Peter Molyneux has announced that 'Pub Games,' the pre-release mini-game DLC for Fable 2 that allowed players to get a jump on building their avatars' bankrolls, won't be returning for the upcoming Fable 3. He's got something else planned, instead.
Let's face it. The 'Pub Games' downloadable pack of three Fable 2 mini-games was kind of a mess. Cheaters were able to utilize an exploit the ironically-named 'Tower of Fortune' mini-game in a way that would enable them to start the game with mountains of cash. Molyneux knows this, calling the exploit a "disaster."
According to Joystiq, who caught up with Molyneux at Gamescom, the developer wasn't willing to divulge any specifics as to what that "something" for Fable 3 would be, but did hint that, "It's more to do with this sort of thing," while seeming to refer to his mobile phone.
Fable 3 is due out on Xbox 360 on October 26, with the PC version to arrive sometime later.

Such a shitty game. I'd have been upset if I'd been the one who made the purchase. Glad my son got it from his grandparents.
I really can't wait to ignore Fable 3 when it comes out.
