I'm not really thinking the sequel will be any different (apart from this new co-op and 'overworld' if I understood correctly? Though that failed horribly in Mythos in my opinion). However if it really is different/evolved enough, to be a complete game, it could be a good enough game to spend some time on before Diablo 3.
