Your reward for sitting through fifty seconds of Torchlight review quotes in the first Torchlight II trailer will be a delightful look at Runic's action RPG sequel in motion, including co-op monster-bashing both below ground and out in the sunshine.

Torchlight II is scheduled to be released "initially as a digital download" on PC in spring 2011, followed by a Mac edition a bit later.

Torchlight is one of my favorite games, this can't come soon enough.

I agree. I feel with Torchlight you get exactly what you pay for. Nothing more nothing less. Drives me nuts when people start losing their minds over things like the first one didn't have coop multiplayer. They at no point in time ever mislead their customer base with this. Game was solid.

Hopefully the sequel will have as much success as well as a great price. $30 is what I think it'll be initially on release! Hoping for $20 :)

Well I found you get more than what you pay for, not feature wise but in game quality. The game was easily worth the 20 bucks I paid for it. And with their decision to expand on many features and add new in the sequel, it just sounds great.

They said the price will be around the same as the first one I think. But I had more fun with this than a lot of 50 dollar games.

Agree as well, you have to praise the team for the turn around time too --> 2011 spring (and they have such a small team and no massive budgets backing them up), unlike other ARPG companies.

They actually do have millions of dollars to work with, and a team of about 32 people. Perfect World is still their main source of funding, although they supplement it with sales from the first game.
