Virtua Tennis 4 Announced for for PS3 with 3D and Move Support

6
SEGA has announced that Virtua Tennis 4 will be headed to PlayStation 3 in 2011 with support for 3D and the PlayStation Move motion controller.

Motion-control with the Move will reportedly take into account "the angle of the racquet, the spin and speed of the ball and the power of the shot."

Sony joined Sega to tout the new game. Simon Rutter, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at SCEE, said, "Virtua Tennis 4 is a fantastic example of how our 3rd Party partners are seeing the potential not just in PlayStation Move, but also 3D. The combination of both Move and 3D offers an entirely new gaming experience and one that has the potential to completely change how people interact with their entertainment. Virtua Tennis 4 shows how this technology can be implemented and we are very excited to be working with SEGA on this."

The game's complete feature set and full player roster will be revealed in the coming months.

tennis with wiimote+ was a disgrace. having to point at the screen before every serve to calibrate, and it takes a good 2 seconds. tiger woods was good though I dug the putting system.

maybe this will be better since the camera can see the move controller at all times, but im still skeptical how accurate it will be with lag and whatnot

Tiger Woods on Wii was excellent IMO. Alot more fun than the timed clicks that started way back with Arnold Palmer's Links.
