Dragon Age 2 Coming in March 2011 [Updated With Trailer]

[Original: 9:55am] BioWare's fantasy RPG sequel Dragon Age II will be released on March 8, 2011 in North America, EA announced during its Gamescom 2010 press conference, before invading ye quainte olde lande of Europe on March 11. It'll hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
A cinematic trailer was shown, which we'll no doubt have to share with you soon enough. It was also mentioned that the combat controls are now more "responsive" and that BioWare has made sure "when you press a button, something awesome happens."

That being said, I'd be more interested in this if they put more into including your Dragon Age Character / Save somehow. That's one of the features that made Mass Effect 2 so appealing.
Dragon Age has so much depth and character to it. It really feels like they're just abandoning it atm...
Will probably be something like L4D/L4D2 crap in terms of functionality.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing Dragon Age 1 yet, but I hear it's a reasonably good spiritual successor (on PC at least) to Baldur's Gate.
I DEARLY hope they don't change things much for the sequel just to appease more casual gamers and people who don't care about RPGs, it would be very unfair on fans of the game.
seriously, will this game be in any connection story-wise to the first? or are they just using the name to sell sell sell?

It's cool that they're making a sequel, but I hope they don't screw it up too badly. I'm skeptical, unfortunately :(
