Call of Duty: Black Ops publisher Activision has announced Xbox 360 and PS3-only 'Hardened' and 'Prestige' editions of Treyarch's shooter, with the latter packing a remote-controlled car that transmits audio and video to its operator.

The Hardened Edition of Cod: Blops includes "a custom Black Ops limited edition medal, exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit, as well as four playable cooperative maps."

The Prestige Edition, meanwhile, has all of the Hardened's goodies plus "an entirely original remote controlled surveillance vehicle inspired by the RC-XD from Black Ops Multiplayer." The toy has a range of up to 200 feet and transmits TFT color video and audio to the pistol-grip controller. Is that better or worse than night vision goggles?

Activision did not announce pricing, though retailers list the Hardened Edition at $79.99 and the ridiculous Prestige Edition at $149.99. Cod: Blops is due to be released worldwide on November 9 in PC, Xbox 360, PS3, DS and Wii flavours.

This RC Car bullshit in the game is a huge eyeroll. They're certainly adding a lot of goofy shit to this game. Don't really know how to feel about it.

Well, technically, armed forces from advanced countries do have these kind of things. Whether or not they have bombs on them is a debatable subject, but the fact of the matter is that they do exist, if not not in that form than in others. An example would be this little tube-bot that I saw one time that had two wheels on either end, and had a tail that helped it keep balance, so really this isn't so goofy. Although, the camera thing is just retarded.
