Morning Discussion

StarCraft II's story is, you'll have discovered by now, terrible. However, it does pull a clever little trick with choices, Kieron Gillen explains over on Rock, Paper, Shotgun, duping players into always being an unfaltering hero who trusts their gut. It's simple but clever and effective. Of course, tons of players discovered they had been fooled almost instantly when they replayed it or discussed their choices on the Internet, which does somewhat spoil the magic. While this completely ruined it for some and they've reacted negatively, I still enjoy and admire the artifice.

Hey, what would the world look like if it stopped spinning? A bit like this.

You can use Twitter passively. A lot of people use it like a newswire: they set up an account, follow businesses, personalities or media local to their town/city/region and leave it at that. It takes no effort at all besides this initial set up. Used like this, it's almost like a bite-sized Google Reader updated with much greater frequency.
