Irrational's 'Project Icarus' Revealed Tomorrow

Irrational Games, the team behind BioShock, is set to reveal its latest title online tomorrow at 12:45pm CT. Currently on the teaser site WhatIsIcarus.com, a simple animation of an object forming a figure-eight has appeared. Throughout the week the site has morphed to its current state.

Although it's not in our nature to point you to one of the worst offenses in "video game marketing" concepts -- also known as countdowns -- we're using this opportunity to let you know that Shacknews will be in New York for the reveal and will have complete coverage and interviews for you, our loyal readers.

In a message from Irrational's Ken Levine, the studio boss confirmed tonight's event will feature the teaser that will appear on the WhatIsIcarus.com website as well as a gameplay demonstration. Although coverage from that event will be available at 1PM (CT), the teaser will first be made available for the public 15 minutes prior.

"Our hope is that you all will see it prior to reading any news in the press," Levine wrote. "Trust me, there's a reason."
