Good Old Games Adds 'Classic' Serious Sam: The First Encounter
by Xav de Matos, Aug 03, 2010 3:00pm PDTThe PC game enthusiasts at Good Old Games have announced a new member in its anti-DRM army, and he's got some serious skills. Croteam's original (and maniacal) Serious Sam franchise is coming to GOG.com, beginning today with the release of Serious Sam: The First Encounter. Sam's second encounter is slated to release soon. Both titles are priced at $9.99, each.
"The agreement with Devolver Digital brings the original Serious Sam series -- not that fancy, newfangled HD stuff -- to the vast catalogue of classics," the announcement press release joked. "GOG.com is the only place on the internet to get the original first two parts of the Serious Sam adventures."
HD-revamps of Serious Sam: The First Encounter and The Second Encounter currently available on Steam for $14.99 and $19.99, respectively.
