Another Studio Forms from ex-GRIN Staffers, Working on CryEngine 3 Downloadable Game

Whiteout, a new studio with members from the now defunct GRIN (Bionic Commando, Wanted: Weapons of Fate), has been formed with its eyes set on digital markets, reports GamesIndustry.biz.

"We've got some very exciting concepts under development," said Joel Fagerlund, former GRIN producer and co-founder of Whiteout. "We are currently working on a bigger project in Cry Engine 3, and thanks to the excellent technology and support from Crytek, we have been able to carefully handcraft a playable prototype that will knock your socks off."

Whiteout will be attending Gamescom, presumably with this playable prototype, in an effort to line-up partnerships, according to Gamasutra.

Members of GRIN's Bionic Commando: Rearmed team formed Might & Delight back in April to focus on additional "retro" game development. Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 is in development at Fatshark (Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West) for Capcom.

I enjoyed both games, except not having an option to invert mouse in weapons of fate and the constant crashing... oh yeah and the 360 controller commands on screen in BC when I'm using a KB/M. aside from that they were fun games.
