Shack PSA: Video Games Live PBS Special Begins Airing in Select States Tomorrow
by Xav de Matos, Jul 30, 2010 3:00pm PDTBeginning tomorrow and running throughout the month of August, PBS will finally broadcast the long-awaited Video Games Live television special in the United States.Sadly, PBS only plans to broadcast the special in 30 states; however, the Video Games Live website urges viewers to contact their local PBS station and request the special be aired in their area if they are not included in the current schedule.
Since its debut in July 2005, Video Games Live--developed by industry veterans and composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall--has exploded in popularity, traveling the globe to perform the the industry's most memorable music.
The full schedule is available online. Broadcast dates and times vary based on location. For a taste of the special, check out a clip featuring Civilization IV after the jump.

Been to a VGL concert though, it truly is awesome. Glad to have a recorded version of it. Hopefully it'll be made available for purchase in the near future.

And Tommy is a tool. He played overloud electric guitar over just about every good 'major' song during the show, ruining the efforts of some very good orchestras and other musicians with his horrificly overdone wailing.
