Battlefield 3 Beta Access Included with Medal of Honor Limited Edition
by Brian Leahy, Jul 30, 2010 8:51pm PDTOut of nowhere, EA has announced that the limited edition of Medal of Honor will include access to the beta test for Battlefield 3 from DICE. Purchases of the LE will "receive an invitation to the Battlefield 3 beta within 12-months following the release of Medal of Honor."
This means that we should be seeing the beta for Battlefield 3 before October 12, 2011. Nothing else is known about Battlefield 3, but it was confirmed to be in development in June 2009. Sounds like a fall 2011 release may be in the cards.
We presume this means we'll see Battlefield 3 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 as the beta details mention Xbox Live Gold being a requirement for Xbox 360 users. The game will use the Frostbite 2 engine, which powers Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the multiplayer portion of Medal of Honor, both of which are PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 titles.

I bought the original, the expansions, hell even BF Nam then BF2 and the spec expansion. But it just came down to my point, everyone just went to one area. I mean try being a sniper as it should be, go out to one point and wait there so you only get 1-2 kills a map but you might never see anyone for the rest of the round, how's that helping if everyone just zergs to point A?
