Early Dragon Age II Footage Captured and Provided

Game Informer has snagged some footage of Dragon Age II, though the outlet stresses that "this is footage of a game super early on, and that it in no way reflects the quality of the finished product."

The footage is mixed in to a larger preview video looking at the ongoing development, but there is some rough gameplay footage shot off of some screens at BioWare. Head on over to GI to check out the footage. Then please return here to discuss with your fellow Shacknews readers.

Dragon Age II is due out in March 2011 on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Yeah, that's a pretty early build. They didn't show much to get excited about. I try not to watch making-of stuff because I like to be dazzled by the final product and discover elements as they were intended -- but this one had virtually no spoiler-y material.

I especially like how the sound designer was put on the spot to explain what made the sound different than the first game. "I don't know," he seemed to reply, "we have... themes... which focus on... um... themes... um... focus..." And then his head exploded.

I like this, its nice to have behind the scenes action. Maybe seeing a random co-worker pick his nose unbeknownst to him he's being filmed doing it would add some additional flair and make the video legendary.

Cool, but I'd rather have seen footage of the PC game in progress, not the Playskool edition.

I hope they do more behind the scenes videos. They have a ton of assets they can use from the previous game so it'll never look terrible.
