Valve Apologises for Wrongful Modern Warfare 2 Bans

I just got banned from COD4 MW2 and i do not cheat... every round i play in there is a cheater but i get banned. someone needs to fix this please and i really would like to have my game back my steam ID is br_skooma I know im not VAC banned because i was able to join a Counter-Strike Source Session. Please get this fixed ASAP. Thank you

And suddenly after a reboot, MW2 Told me cheat detected and shutted down... :/

I Have just baught this game and its irratating that i cant get online. Fix the problem that way people that have done nothing can play and have fun.

Now ive been waiting, in like 1-2 months, and still havent ubanned me!. what steam/infinityward. People here are banned for nothing. go fix the vaulve and unban people. take a scan on them. go unban, we dont have 100years!.

I too have been playing alot of modded ground war servers lately where a ton of random shit is happening. Tonight i had tried to log on while also connected to a skype call. I thought at first it was because i was on skype, my friend being like "ya, that could be cheating because you could ghost so easily". So i turned it off. The problem still persist, it kicks me out of multiplayer screen and opens a second window saying "cheat detected" ive run my virus scan, scandisk, checked for spyware, closed all open ports, even rolled my computer back to a previous checkpoint. Im failing to see how something is being detected when nothing is running in the background other then nessecary windows files/programs. Then i came across this post and ive been exploring google threads saying that VAC is responsible for this happening to thousands of people. Any help on how to solve the problem?

i was playing Mw2 1 night then i got into this server and i didnt know that it was a hacked server until i saw people FREAKING jumping up so high..then when i killed a person i unlocked every single titles, emblems, ..etc i was like WTF?!

the next day i played Mw2...i cant open my COD mutiplyer then a small window pops up saying "Cheat Detected" and i saw on my VAC status i was banned coz of hacking it....like WTF is that?!

i dont know if VAC is just FREAKING dumb or theres something wrong with it...i've been playing 507 hours online and that VAC will ban me bcoz i got into this hacked server?! FUCK IT

modern warfare 2 is a piece of shit game anyways , borrowed the game from brother , finished the weird campaign after spending 2 weeks getting the FOV fix , and then uninstalled the game.

games that i play , rarely get uninstalled from my system , have lots of space , and also do mods , but this game was so bad , that 11 GB was a waste of space after all.

This time, they hacked the hell out of MW2 BIG TIME, now real hackers are having hosted games that you will "join automatically" AND YOU CANT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT,

Modded games like, your gonna be flying lol,, you cant choose your weapon class!! unlimitted ammo!!! and shit like that!!!,,

Now the problem is,, if valve and steam and their useless VAC crap banned people by mistake for nothing and I was one of them btw,, what makes them NOT ban them again for just joining a hacker hosted game!!! I mean its not like they wanted to join them!! they were sent there! lol,,

Sad huh?! lol,, but am really happy tho,, its good to see valve suffer the consequences of their stupidity.

in every game i join there is atleast 2-3 hackers on each team..

Valve and Stream have f*%ked this game up ... not only do we have to pay for new maps (unlike on the previous CoDMW) , major laggg issues, non independent servers and now we have loyal gamers and I say loyal cause they still stick around spite of all problems, getting ban istead of the Hackers ... lol all I have to say is that I wont be buying black opps without previewing it first .. can we say Game fly.

So like a month or two ago. i was banned. i brought it up with the help function in steam because you know steam doesnt have a phonenumber... little shady? anyways they say the ban is legit and i was hacking. although they wouldnt tell me when "they found out" or the time the ban was issued or hacks used. so even more shady.. modernwarfare is still 60 bucks when it should be around 50 there keeping it at that because banned people buy the game again so tehy continue to make loads of cash on wrongfully/rightfully banned people. whether or not they say they care and want you to have a good gameplay they dont, in it for the money. as reading on here many cases people were banned even after they made a 2nd account for no reason etc etc.

Steam/valve whatever is a really shady 3rd party program if im correct in calling it that. they take your game that you bought and limit it to one account... so dont buy stuff on steam buy it in person at gamestop etc.

I know this isnt going to happen... but come on gamers lets go on strike we can beat steam the money grubbing, shady thieves selfish cockadoodledoo's.

the point f this post is to stay away from buying stuff on steam get it retail and try to stay away from buying steam games.

I want ModernWarfare2 unbanned not Left 4 Dead 2. I have payed for Modernwarfare2 if you make silly misstakes like this you should fix it and unbann us -.- We've payed for MW2.

I join lobbies with cheaters more and more. Aimbotters, Wallhackers, or whatever are appearing everywhere.
You have to do something about this issue! Instead of hackers I'd love to have more noobtubers, I just don't want the fricking cheaters.
Why does not Counter Strike: Source have any cheaters? Everything there is VAC Secured, why can't MW2 have that same protecting system too? Is it because they have different servers or w/e?

I was banned for logging in and useing there system to find a game and was put on a server where the host was running a hack this happened to me 3 times and each time i removed my players and 10190 file so i could play the game legit first time i was in the mid 20s and all it did was lvl me to 70 the second i was a little over 68 and then back to 70 wasnt to upset was just going to keep playing and doing my thing the third time it really pissed me of because it gave me 10th prestige all the titles and emblems and opened up all the attachments on all the weapons I dont know about every one else but i enjoy getting those on my own i hate seeing ppl that have some of the hardest to get showing but dont have any skill so you know theygot on a host running those hacks and are wanting to mister big shot . Any ways please respond to this with any information you have as to how i can contact someone who cares and will listen so i can get this fixed.

i got banned about a month ago for just playing online in Mw2 the host was a hacker and it downloaded the hack to my account and then i got banned the next week.. i want my account back.... oh and my entire steam account was banned and i am really pissed off at this.. the hack downloaded and i was instantly a lvl 70 10th prestige.... i didnt want that! i wasnt a hacker i didnt want to be a hacker i didnt like them... send me my l4d2... ben.crisp@gmail.com....

i got banned for being put on a match/server with the host as a hacker so is that fair?... i say that it isn't so i think you should manually check who is being banned for what and watch the game that he is being banned in so that you VAL doesn't mistakenly ban people.
