In a lengthy mini-documentary developed by 2 Player Productions, the team at Sucker Punch halted production on Infamous 2 for nearly eight minutes to discuss the inspiration behind its newest franchise.

Throughout the video, the devs at Sucker Punch mention the world of comics and film--like the more realistic direction of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise--as key influences for the urban setting and main character in Infamous.

With an obvious love of comics in mind, the developer was asked to hold a panel reflecting the creation of a "modern day superhero" in the video game world at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego.

While buzz at E3 was positive for Cole McGrath's second electrifying adventure, many took notice of the drastic changes to the protagonist's new look. According to IGN, Super Punch has decided to shift Cole's look again, saying two images the company was given showcases a character that "looks more like the person we played as in the original Infamous and less like the man who was in all of those E3 screens and videos."

We've asked Sucker Punch to share these new images; however, we have yet to get a response at the time of publishing.

I hope they do shift back to the original design, the original Cole's design wasn't amazing but it's very jarring to have it changed between games.

Not only that, but the new design feels so much more 'generic."
