Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Launching Alongside Film Next Summer

In an announcement that will surprise no one, Warner Bros. has officially revealed a game based on the Green Lantern franchise will release alongside the Ryan Reynolds feature film, next summer. Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is set to take shape on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS.

With the announcement, Warner Bros. confirms previous reports that the action-adventure will be helmed by Front Mission Evolved developer (and constant delayer) Double Helix Games. Griptone Games will handle development duties for the Nintendo DS version.

Few details for Green Lantern "Attack of the Bad Subtitle" have been revealed; however, we assume it will revolve around punching eneimes in the face with giant, green fists made up of alien-fueled mind energy. Unless they change their mind and the game ends up being an RTS, or something.
