ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead Brit DLC Announced
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 22, 2010 8:20am PDTThe Brits will deploy to ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead's fictional setting of Takistan this August in a downloadable content pack announced today by developer Bohemia.
The 'British Armed Forces' DLC will add Her Majesty's finest to the standalone military sim expansion pack, complete with six of their weapons, two new vehicles, another two helicopters and special Brit versions of the Apache, Chinook and offroad car.
While in the region, the Toms will take on Takistani insurgents in a "short campaign... focused on depicting the assymetrical warfare with a guerilla force and the counter-insurgency operations." They'll also embark upon co-operative multiplayer scenarios "featuring all the British units, vehicles and equipment."
The British Armed Forces DLC will be released on August 26, priced at $9.99. If you've yet to give Operation Arrowhead a whirl, grab the 2.54GB demo from FileShack.

Also, does anybody know if Operation Reality (ORC) will be using this with their private ArmA2 milsim detachment or will they just be sticking with Arrowhead? If so are the two compatible? (ie. what if you don't have the BAF DLC but still want to be able to play on regular Arrowhead servers is that possible or do you get kicked for missing addons?)
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
