ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead Brit DLC Announced

7
The Brits will deploy to ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead's fictional setting of Takistan this August in a downloadable content pack announced today by developer Bohemia.

The 'British Armed Forces' DLC will add Her Majesty's finest to the standalone military sim expansion pack, complete with six of their weapons, two new vehicles, another two helicopters and special Brit versions of the Apache, Chinook and offroad car.

While in the region, the Toms will take on Takistani insurgents in a "short campaign... focused on depicting the assymetrical warfare with a guerilla force and the counter-insurgency operations." They'll also embark upon co-operative multiplayer scenarios "featuring all the British units, vehicles and equipment."

The British Armed Forces DLC will be released on August 26, priced at $9.99. If you've yet to give Operation Arrowhead a whirl, grab the 2.54GB demo from FileShack.

What the hell are you talking about? You won't play this just because the characters are British? Where the hell do you get off?

        Sad

First of all, we already can. Arrowhead features the KSK, Germany's Special Forces unit which was created with the help of the SAS, SEALS and Delta.
Secondly, no reason to insult an entire people because one guy comes over as an asshole. Makes it seem as if you were trying to compensate some kind of minority complex (Trust me, it goes both ways).

        And lastly, on topic:
I'm curious to see whether Bohemia has put in any significant effort to make the British play any differently from the forces already featured. For $10 I would kind of appreciate that.
Also, they don't seem to mention what kind of force you'll play as. In the face of the Household Cavalry's sniping world record, it would be a wasted opportunity if they didn't feature at least one sniper mission.

That makes no sense. The Challenger tank is bad-azz. I hope they put that in.
