Canadian prog-rockers Rush's seven-part musical epic tale '2112' will feature in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, publisher Activision has announced.

The "suite" from Rush's 1976 album '2112' tells of a dystopian future where music has been banned--a popular concept among rock operas. Players will rock through the twenty-minute piece during the Warriors of Rock campaign.

"I love the idea of Guitar Hero; they have combined two great things--music and fun," said Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson in the announcement. "I think it's a great way to introduce people of all ages to music of various styles by all kinds of different bands, while providing a launching pad for kids who want to get into playing music."

Developed by Neversoft, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii this September. "More than 90 tracks" are due to be on disc, including these seven new Rush revelations and a fair number already announced.

So I saw Rush last summer, They're my girlfriends favorite band and I had never really paid attention to them too much in my youth.
That was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen, and I've been to Pink Floyd. Absolutely incredible.
