DC Universe Online Collector's Edition Unveiled, Beta Signups Open

Sony Online Entertainment has unveiled a PC Collector's Edition for its superhero MMORPG DC Universe Online, packing a statue of the bold Batman himself.

The PC-exclusive Collector's Edition--listed by retailers at $99.99--packs a 56-page "Art of DCUO" book, Issue #0 of the "DC Universe Online: Legends" comic and the statue of "the Dark Knight leaping from a building, ready to rain justice down on evildoers."

Budding super-people can sign up now for future beta testing, though the site notes "The beta will be ramping up slowly so there may be a delay before you are accepted."

As is customary nowadays, a variety of retailer-specific pre-order bonuses are on offer. They range from in-game versions of iconic comic characters' weapons and the limited edition comic book to a 2v2 PvP "combat arena" that lets you be Batman, so if you're gunning for something in particular you had best check before you pre-order.

DC Universe Online is slated for release on PC and PlayStation 3 this November.
