Red Factions: Origins Movie Debuts on SyFy Channel in March 2011
by Xav de Matos, Jul 19, 2010 9:30am PDTSyFy and THQ's upcoming film based on the Red Faction series will finally see life this March. The SyFy-exclusive live-action film, now titled Red Faction: Origins, is set to launch within the same window as Red Faction: Armageddon.
Described as a "pilot" movie, the two-hour film follows Jake, the last surviving son of Alec Mason, as he battles against a new human army who have lured his sister into their Red Faction-hating web. Origins is set to take place between the events of Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon. The film is also said to tie-in with the upcoming downloadable product, coming "three to four months" before the retail release of Armageddon.
As this is a SyFy series, we expect no less than three cameo roles from Canadian actress Tricia Helfer. THQ included a new screenshot of Red Faction: Armageddon, added in the gallery below.
