Activision has finally revealed details on Bond's next adventure. Titled, James Bond 007: Blood Stone, the Bizarre Creations developed third-person shooter (with cover-based shooting, hand-to-hand fighting gameplay) is scheduled to launch this holiday season for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Developer N-Space is creating a Nintendo DS title for the same time frame.

With an original story penned by GoldenEye-scribe Bruce Feirstein and the likeness and voice talents of Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and singer Joss Stone, it appears Activision is taking the route EA did with James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing.

In the announcement press release, David Pokress, head of marketing for licensed properties at Activison Publishing, said the upcoming title will capture "the cinematic intensity of a Bond film" thrusting playing in an "intriguing conspiracy" in the world of James Bond.

Pokress also confirmed the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will have "a diverse array of multiplayer modes" for up to 16 players with "objective-based gameplay" allowing players to "battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales." Authentic Bond locales, like anywhere that beautiful women and explosions are prevalent, we presume.

The press release also notes that award-winning singer Joss Stone will also provide an original music track, titled "I'll take it all," along with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.
