PS3 Move Bundles and Pricing Announced

12
The official PlayStation.Blog has revealed a few different options for those looking to adopt the new Move motion-controller for PS3 when it arrives this coming September.

For the full setup, motion-bound gamers will need the Move controller and a PlayStation Eye camera in addition to the base PlayStation 3 console. Depending on what hardware you already have in your gaming arsenal, Sony plans to offer a few different options for getting your PS3 Move-enabled.

If you don't yet have a PlayStation 3, the "PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle" includes all the pieces, as well as a Sports Champion game and a PlayStation Move game demo disc. This granddaddy of Move bundles will retail for $399.99.

The PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle - $399.99

If you already have a PS3 console, but none of the other necessary peripherals, the simply-named "PlayStation Move Bundle," includes a Move controller, PlayStation Eye, Sports Champion game, and the Move game demo disc for $99.99.

The PlayStation Move Bundle - $99.99

Those who already have everything but the Move controller itself will be able to purchase just the controller. Sorry, no Sports Champion game or Move demo disc for you.

The Move Motion Controller - $49.99

Interestingly, however, the optional PlayStation Move Navigational controller is not included in any of these bundles and will be sold separately for $29.99. Move, in all aforementioned flavors, will be available on September 19.

Because after seeing the Kinect it just seems lame to be holding a controller and pointing it at the screen let alone one that has a big red ball on the end of it. I think if this would have came out last year it would have stood a chance. I have a PS3 and don’t have a 360 but the new slim Xbox and Kinect are definitely catching my eye and most likely my dollars. It would be sweet if you could hook the Kinect up to the PC. I think that could get interesting.

Yeah because flailing your arms around for a racing game really gets you into the game. or 'pretending' to be holding a gun instead of having some sort of tactile response. Honestly, kinect has the fail written all over it. I mean they are all gimmicks, and are for the mass market, not hardcore gamers, but id rather have a Wii or Move type controller for these types of games rather than just a camera that lets me drive a car without a wheel, wha?

I think after seeing Kinect, it just seems lame not to have a controller in your hand. Other than the dancing game, what does a better Eyetoy really have to offer?

Yeah, being able to click and have alternate controls is important. A racing game that you can't sit down to play and can't accelerate is "lame."

Well I don’t think that games that are completely based on Kinect are going to be that fun. I think they will probably turn out to be pretty gimmicky. I think that the games that are going to succeed are the ones that combine both the traditional controller and the Kinect. So that you’re playing along and all of the sudden you have a mini game where you have to unlock a door or hack into a computer or something without the controller. I’m hoping that this will be the case with Fable 3 cause it would suck if the whole game was Kinect based.

Probably because $100 for what amounts to wii support on the PS3 is just retarded. I own a wii. Ive been there done that, and honestly, I don't care to do it again until there is some significant break through in motion tracking.

The kinect I think has the right idea, but even that will probably be annoying since the software tracking wont be perfect.

Please. Flailing your arms is flailing your arms. Whether you have a controller in them doesn't make the whole idea any more appealing.
