EA is offering a limited edition version of Medal of Honor with a handful of weapon bonuses at the same price-point as the game's standard edition.

The Medal of Honor "limited edition" adds exclusive access to the MP7, an "unique weapon" supposedly favored by Tier 1 Operators in the field; the limited release also includes "day-one access" to the TOZ-104 and 870MC2 shotguns, which can only be accessed as unlocks for regular edition owners.

EA tells Shacknews that both the "Limited Edition" and standard edition of Medal of Honor will be available at retail during the game's launch, unlike the "free upgrade" limited edition release players were offered with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Both SKUs are currently listed as a MSRP of $59.99 (US) on GameStop.

At E3 2010, EA revealed the PlayStation 3 version of the Medal of Honor limited edition would exclusively include a remastered version of 2002's Medal of Honor: Frontline. Medal of Honor is scheduled to hit the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 12 in North America and October 15 in Europe.
