Crossfire Brings New Twist To Retro Shooter Formula
by Jeff Mattas, Jul 09, 2010 3:20pm PDTA very cool retro-ish shooter called Crossfire hit the Xbox Live Indie Games channel a couple of days ago, fusing classic Space Invaders-style alien blasting with a fun-looking teleportation gameplay mechanic.
As you can tell from the official launch trailer, Crossfire's fast-paced, reflex-based gameplay is bolstered by bright neon graphics and a liberal use of particle effects, making it feel like a visual sibling of the smash-hit Geometry Wars series (Xbox Live Arcade).
Developed by radiangames, Crossfire is currently available on XBLIG for 240 Microsoft Points ($3).
