Morning Discussion

As cool as features like Netflix streaming, Hulu Plus or even PSP Comics sound, I have no access to them. As a Canadian, I'm often left in the dark when it comes to video content. This is due to a few reasons, namely government regulations and restrictions as well as licensing issues.

When I see more features that I can't access being injected in to home consoles, I wonder if I should just pack my things and drive an hour over the border where video content flows like Mr. PiBB (that's an American thing, right?). But every time I grab my luggage, I remember the whole "free health care" thing we have up here and put it all away.

It would be nice to stream classic flicks and episodes of "The Wire" directly to my console, but it's just not in the cards for me, and many in other regions. I suppose it could be worse: I could live in a region that censors the games I play. (I feel for you folks.) If that happened in Canada, well allow me to just say, "Peace out, health care!"

Xav de Matos was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Think i'm gonna do the same. Seems like if it isn't enough of an improvement for it to warrant the full £40, BC2 will keep me going until it's cheap enough for me to pick up.

I had it preordered for coop goodness. It arrived yesterday or the day before, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

i preferred the colours of the original. i know the new colour scheme suits the setting but it all looks so grim.

I'm waiting for a price drop. I got the original for $15, which was a hell of a bargain... however, the reviews for Crackdown 2 aren't so overwhelmingly positive as to make this a Day One purchase.

Pro Tips I learned last night.

Up on the d-pad will blip a sonar on your mini map and show any orbs in the area on it. Great for finding hidden ones.

After a certain level agility (not sure what one as I was 4 when I found out) but holding B while running make you run even faster.

Actually, the 'B' thing comes with strength. I believe lvl 3. It's called barge, and you can wreck peoples with it.

Apparently that's a stupid question. I thought there was a PC version. Anyway, add me, I'll play co-op (after this weekend though).

My friends and I were playing yesterday for a while. Sigpro showed up later. SUVs were driven up cliffs, cars were slingshotted, a good time was had by all. Xbox tag is the same as my Shack login!

I had to leave because I was falling asleep due to getting like 4 hours of sleep the last 2 nights in a row.
