Disciples 3: Renaissance Demo Released

Tactics fans looking for a spot of turn-based fantasy action can now download a 3.73 GB demo for Akella's Disciples III: Renaissance from their friendly local FileShack.

Disciples III involves cavorting around the land of Nevendaar gathering an army, building up a citadel, collecting resources, powering up heroes and crushing foes in turn-based tactical combat. A bit like the Heroes of Might and Magic and King's Bounty series.

The demo contains the tutorial level plus one mission level for each of the game's three factions--the Elven Alliance, Legions of the Damned and The Empire.

Disciples III is due out for PC in North America on July 13, published by Kalypso.

It's amazing that Akella can make so many utterly crap games and still be in business when premier devs like LGS and ISA have gone out of business with just 1 or no flop.

Never heard of this game, but I've got a pretty good idea.
