Divinity 2 Revamped for Compilation Release

By Alice O'Connor, Jul 08, 2010 7:00am PDT Larian's Divinity II - Ego Draconis will be "re-mastered" for a double-pack featuring the fantasy action-RPG plus its expansion pack Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance.

The "entirely new and re-mastered edition" of Divinity II in the 'The Dragon Knight Saga' compilation features "improved graphics and content that make the game even more beautiful and more impressive than ever before," says publisher Focus Home.

The PC and Xbox 360 compilation is due to be released in October this year, in Europe at least. The North American release date has yet to be announced. The Flames of Vengeance expansion is scheduled for release on its lonesome this summer.

  • i loved divine divinity, and enjoyed (but less than the first) beyond divinity... but absolutely hated the divinity 2 demo. i dont have a problem with the switch in perspective from isometric to third person or anything, but it felt like a completely different KIND of game. the first two really scratched that diablo-inspired "tons of loot to find, monsters to kill, and dungeons to crawl" itch, whereas divinity 2 feels like a more traditional rpg. which is fine, i guess, just not at all what i was wanting. i wanted divinity 2 to feel more like... well, a sequel to divinity 1, i guess.

did the demo do a bad job of showing that side of the gameplay? or does it stay pretty much the same as the game goes on?
